About LG dryer rollers and lubrication- I just removed my original ones and they are simple sleeve ‘bearings’. Steel shaft in steel sleeve. Hard to see how there would be any ‘embedded’ lubricate in the metal. When I look at the APP replacement kit the design is different- I see real bearings with a circlip. I can believe these are permanently sealed and lubricated and would appear to be an upgrade over the original design.
So how did the OEM bearings work for about 7 years for me? I’m guessing the plastic triangles at each end were impregnated with a lubricant that slowly released. They are ‘sticky’ to the touch.
In any case the cheap replacement kits are the same design as the original but I’m wondering if their plastic triangles release lubricant if my theory is correct.
