Does the heat cycle back on after a while and has the vent from the dryer all the way to the outside of the home been cleared?
Yes, the heat does cycle back on. Yes the vent is cleared all the way out, which is only one foot through the wall. The flexible vent was clean and we put our hand way up into the machine.
How soon after igniting does the flame turn off and does it happen on the first ignition? Also, if you place a thermistor at the exhaust vent behind the dryer, what temperature shows when the flame shuts off and when it turns back on? This can help identify if it might be an issue with a thermostat.
It heats for about two minutes and it does happen on the first ignition. With no clothes in there, and when putting it to Cotton to dry, the timer reads 41 minutes, at first. The exhaust heat got up to 111. Within about three minutes the timer read 5 minutes and that cooling was happening. It did flash that drying was happening when I took the temperature readings. I don’t know if I should be trying this with damp clothes in there for it to run longer because without clothes the dryer moister sensor bar would reduce running time, I’m guessing. Thanks
Even with no clothes in there, the cycle should have reached a proper exhaust temperature of around 160 degrees on normal temperature within the three minutes that the cycle was in drying mode. If the blower housing is clean, the next step is testing the thermistor for resistance. It should measure between 9K to 11K Ohms at temperatures between 70-90 degrees and 6.2K ohms when heated to 100 degrees with a hair dryer (thermometer in place next to it to identify temperature). It sounds like either the thermistor is decreasing resistance too early or the main control is not registering proper temperatures.

Can the thermistor be accessed from the back by removing the back panel, or does one need to remove the front panel and the drum and go that more difficult route? Thanks
An easy test point would be at the main control. The connector NA6 is a 6-pin connector with only 4 wires going to it. The yellow wire and the blue wire can be used to test the thermistor after the wires are disconnected from the main control. This way, only the back console panel and control cover would need to be removed.
