The other day I was unpleasantly surprised to find my Dishwasher had developed a steady drip from the water inlet valve (specifically the brass L-connector).
In the course of drying things out and assessing the issue I noticed it also appeared to have a drip coming from somewhere above as well. Both drips are located around this valve, but I couldn’t see where the higher one was dripping from.
So I was thinking it might be good to replace the entire inlet valve assembly. However the upper drip has me concerned that the tub itself may be cracked. I haven’t taken the unit completely out yet to look, but I’m not sure that’s going to tell me anything.
Question: So with the second leak in mind is there anything else (apart from a cracked tub) that one might suggest replacing while I’m down there?
Obviously if the tub is cracked my whole effort here will be for naught, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take versus what a service call has been quoted to cost me.
