I have a leak in the ice maker. It still makes ice, but when the ice maker is turned ON it also leaks water into the front portion of the ice tray, causing the ice in that area to become a giant iced mess. Any ideas on repair?

I have given this some thought and research, and I think I may know what is causing this issue. I recently replaced the water filter and based on some of the other posts, it seems issue may be that the water is being dispensed into the ice trays at too high of a rate, causing too much water to be in trays and resulting in the dripping I am experiencing.
Has anyone experienced this type of issue? I tested the water dispenser and in 8 seconds it dispensed nearly 11 ounces of water.
