The oven is 20 years old. The oven just started to malfunction. The power light will come on and fan will run without any knob turned (by itself). Is this a circuitboard or sensor or control unit. Any ideas on what part to replace?

The oven is a KitchenAid Superba 27, model # KEMS376SBL-1.
The problem could be the fan thermostat part#AP3127384 or control panel.
Your thoughts
I cannot find a wiring diagram for this unit so cannot be very helpful.

If all the thermostat controls is the fan then that would be at the top of my list.
If it is the main oven temperature control and the unit is cooking OK then I doubt it is the thermostat.
I looked through the parts to see if they have a separate thermostat to just turn the fan on/off but did not have much luck.
I did find Item 7 in Section 4 but I think this is an overheat thermostat for the oven elements.
That the power light comes on does point toward the control board but cannot be sure without a wiring diagram.
Also looks like most of this unit is obsolete so finding parts will probably be difficult.
