Kitchenaid rinse aid- control board?

Hi everyone, my kitchenaid dw’s rinse aid is not working. I took the door panel off to observe the dispenser and found the wax motor for the dispenser will not retract back to normal state. I am leaning toward the problem is with the control board. Is there anything else that controls the dispenser? What do you think?

The dispenser is controlled directly from the control board.

I am assuming that it does retract properly when you remove power to it.

It would not hurt to check it for resistance.
If OK then replace the board.

Thanks Denman. Yes Iyou are correct. The motor does retract after the dishwasher has completed.
