Kitchenaid range f3 and f2 error codes

I have an old (and I mean 22 years old) kitchenaid range model kedt105bl2. Recently it gave me a F3 and and F2 error code while preheating. One time it even turned bake off completely. We replaced the oven sensor but it is still doing the same thing. Sometimes it will work but mostly it just gives the same two error codes. I am worried it is the control panel. We are just trying to decide whether to go on and replace the oven or to try and fix it. I would be thankful for any advise you can give.

Yes the next logical replacement would be the control board.
Looks like it is obsolete so your only option may be to have it repaired.
There are companies out there that specialize in this, just Google “appliance timer repair”
It may well be time to replace the unit.

You could try cleaning the contacts on the control board, see below.
Also check the connector on the board for a bad solder connection.
Often it will be a duller gray or may have pin holes.
If you wiggle the connector you may be able to see the connector move in the solder.

Connector Cleaning / Checking
Unplug the unit
Open it up

Clean the connector.
Check the tracks for hairline cracks. A magnifying glass helps here.
Would not hurt to clean the connector on the board. Use electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush. Be gentle and do not reconnect till all the solvent evaporates.
Reconnect everything and give it a try.
