Hello, I have a KSSO48FTX20 48" Built-in side-by-side refrigerator that just recently had the over temp alarm sound. The temps are showing in the 20’s in the freezer and 40’s in the refrigerator. They bounce around a bit and are not held steady. I did a power reset for 10 minutes and the behavior did not change. I hear the unit running and the condenser fan is spinning as well.

I had an issue like this happen years ago with a similar KitchenAid 48" built-in side-by-side and the issue ended up being a bad capacitor on the control board. I’ve looked at the capacitors on the control board and don’t see any that are visually blown. Any suggestions on what I can check to narrow down the cause of the problem? Thanks for any help given!

Apart from the unit not running enough, find out what is running and what is not. If the compressor, all fan motors, are running, the problem will; be in the sealed system. The control boards could factor in if the compressor or the fans are not always running.
