Brand: Kitchen Aid
Model Number: KSEG950ESS5
Main Symptom: oven is not coming to temp and takes FOREVER to heat up and then will not hold temp
What happens & when: My oven does heat up, but it does so slowly and never reaches set temp. I can hack it a little for cooking by setting it for 50 deg F above desired temp and it will reach that but then it wont hold it. For example, if I keep 350, I set 400, and it will get to 350. If I need 450, I set 400, and it will get to 400. Broiler works.
Error Code (if any): F8E0
Parts or tests already tried: an appliance repair man recommended replacing blower fan and temp sensor.

You will want to test the oven sensor to ensure that it has a resistance reading of 1080 ohms at room temp. If it is good then check to make sure that there is power to the bake element. If there is proper power then this will most likely be a faulty element.
Thank you. Do you have a youtube video or manual that shows me how to do these tests?
Thank you so much! I will test and get back with you.
Thanks. We tested the temp sensor and cooling fan. Temp sensor read fine 1088 ohms.
Cooling fan had a resistance of 70 ohms.
I totally forgot to check the bake elementđŸ™ƒ.
We replaced the cooling fan. It didn’t solve the problem. We checked the new one, 70 ohms again
We checked the baking element–99 Volts.
Does that mean the baking element should be replaced? Or does that mean something leading to the element needs fixing?
If you are only getting 99 Vac to the element then this would be a control board issue.
Thank you so much. Is there a way for me to isolate whether or not it’s a specifix relay vs the control board?
Well, if the bake is the portion that is only getting 99 Vac then it would mean the bake relay would be the issue. The relay is not a separate part from the board so you would want to purchase the board.
Thank you. What is the link for the control board? My oven is kseg950ess5.
