Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KSCS25FTSS02
Main Symptom: No power at ice maker with door closed.
What happens & when: When we noticed the problem, the ejectors were at the 10 o’clock position with some half melted/refrozen ice stuck on the tips.
Error Code (if any): No codes
Parts or tests already tried: Per one of your videos, I checked the ohm load across the various test terminals on the ice maker. All are within acceptable range.*
Tested the emitter and receiver beam/LED. LED indicates the boards are working as expected.
I checked for voltage at the pigtail/plug that exits the interior wall of freezer (green, tan, black, white). The bl/wt & wt wires have no voltage with the door closed or open.
Water outlet that fills the ice maker is not frozen at the exit point. I will remove hose from the back and blow through it to test for further blockage next. No blockages.
I have not checked the resistance of the valves yet. That is my next step. The water valve solenoids have continuity when unplugged.
*I went back to the control module (removed). The motor has continuity. The ejectors are at the 5 o’clock position in stead of 2 o’clock like the inside of the cover says. Bad control module??
