Main Symptom:new ice maker not working
What happens & when:I just installed a new part number AP6026347 (W10873791) ice maker and it does not fill and make ice. The arm does not move up or down. It is fixed in place. This is the second one I have replaced and both were the same, arm doesn’t move but the other one worked for at least a year before it stopped.

The arm on the icemaker is supposed to stay in place until the unit cycles. If the icemaker is not cycling, keep in mind that it will take approximately 24 hours after install to start producing, the temperature in the ice compartment should be approximately 0 degrees. You can also put the unit into a service diagnostic mode and see if the icemaker will cycle while in diagnostic test for the icemaker according to the tech sheet, which I have attached.
