“Cleaning light” blinking and stops making ice. If you turn off the unit and restart, it will make one or two cycles of ice, then the “cleaning” light will blink.
I replaced the control board and the machine made about ten pounds of ice, but then the “cleaning” started blinking again.
It could be flashing a failure code like a bad thermistor. If it flashes 2 times its the bin thermistor if it flashes 5 times then pauses its the evap thermistor
The “cleaning” light is simply flashing steady at about once per second, continually with no pause.
Try disconnecting the bin thermistor and see if it will go through a cycle Here is the service manual and another site with good info
I know this is an old post. Did you every figure out what was wrong with your ice machine? Mine is doing the same thing.
I have one doing the exact same problem. Cleaning light blinks steady and it’s hot inside the bin. Will make a few cycles of ice after reset but then does the same thing again.
Did anybody ever figure out what this was. Mine is doing the same thing as above
