Kitchenaid dishwasher stops multiple times midcycle

What happens & when:Sometimes makes it all the way through cycle, but often stops and must be restarted (typically restarts where it is in the cycle)

Error Code (if any):2-1 (I think)
Parts or tests already tried:I replaced the latch thinking maybe it wasn’t staying closed, but problem still happens. I have limited success when I tape the dishwasher closed (sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t)
