The dishwasher stops in the middle of the cycle. Then I press “resume”. Sometimes it responds and restarts. Other times the buttons won’t work at all. KitchenAid wants to charge me $300 to repair…please help! 
Had same problem on my kitchen aide. Turned out that the power connector to the control board had worked itself loose from slamming the door shut. It finally arced to the pin after a while. Hope this helps.
