Dishwasher stopped working a few weeks ago due to a faulty start switch on the control panel / user interface. All the lights were lit and the buttons would respond to input except for the start switch. Ordered a new user interface from here (part #AP3177796), swapped it out, and the machine was working like a champ again.
A few weeks later (last weekend) it stopped mid-cycle with a tub full of water. This time there were no lights, no button response, nothing at the control panel. Checked the house breaker - fine. Checked the junction box under the toe-kick - 120v fine. Ordered a replacement user interface, swapped it out today, and still nothing!
What should I be looking for / at? I read the article on continuity testing, but I’m still not sure if that’s what I should be checking on this unit for the described issue (I have a digital multi-meter). I’m a builder, so I can manage my way around most technical things, but I’m not sure where to go from here on an appliance repair. I need to get this thing running again before my kids generate any more dishes and my wife makes me sleep in the kitchen sink!
