My dishwasher leaves dirty dishes covered with film of debris particles. Out of frustration I went through an extensive troubleshooting and conclude that the problem is the rubber valve supporting the sum pump. I need an expert opinion to confirm whether or not I am correct and should spend more $$$.
So far I’ve done this.
1. removed the drain hose from the garbage dispenser and tested the drainage. I did not like the low pressure of the water stream.
2. Remove the interior parts, removed the grinder, cleaned all parts removed all food pieces I found there. Tested the machine and noticed no improvement.
3. removed the interior parts again, forced the rinse only and while holding the contact switch in the door I watched the machine fill in and then I forced cancel to drain. It took few cycles before water was gone.
4. Consulted a part supplier on www and bought a new sum pump. The new pump did not change anything.
5. I flushed the hoses, removed disconnected the sum pump and attached to the pipes a garden hose. No improvement was noticed.
6. My wife noticed that when doing those exercises the machine had sometimes less waste water stayed in the machine after a full cycle.
I looked into it again, and when forcing the draining cycle (cancel button), and holding the door open (with pressed contact switch in the door) I noticed a geyser effect, water was pushed up into the machine rather out of it. It would explain low water pressure I saw earlier.
So, if I am right, how do I remove and replace the valve? I guess I need to do it from inside the machine. I noticed there a rectangle notch with a rubber part, but was not sure what it was for. I guess it is the valve mount. Today I found out that the part # Today I found out that the part # is AP3152971.
Does it make sense?
