Kitchenaid dishwasher leak at float switch

My KitchenAid dishwasher mod. kudr01tjwh1 and ser. fm2705039 drips
water through the float switch housing during wash and rinse cycles. The
appliance is properly leveled and has been located in the same position
since it was originally installed. I’ve been told that “waves” could
possibly be produced by a worn part (shaft seal?) that would cause water
to spill over the float switch housing during cycles. The appliance is
still doing a good job of cleaning the dishes, pumping out completely, etc.
What part(s) would be needed to correct this condition?

There is a kit for the float support (Item 1 in Section 1)

But you may not need any parts.

First I would remove the float and check/clean it. Sometimes dirt can get in there and wick up water.

Next check that all the holes in the spray arm are clear. Sometimes one will partially clog and spray water at a weird angle causing a leak.
