Kitchenaid Dishwasher KTDM404EBS water not heating. How to reset CPU?

Brand: Kitchenaid
Model Number: KTDM404EBS
Main Symptom: Water not heating
What happens & when: runs & cycles fine, water not warm

Error Code (if any): none
Parts or tests already tried: Element & high-temp thermostat
Photos / video link:

Washer is just 6 years old and rarely used.

Washer will not heat water. I just replaced the element & high-temp thermostat, but I don’t think they were bad, per resistance readings. I tried a cycle after replacing the two components, still no hot water. I physically touch the heating element during the wash cycle and it was cold.

I have read about resetting the cpu with a sequence of button selections, but none of the descriptions match my keyboard.

Which button selections do I need to press to enter diagnostic/re-set? What else could cause no-heat besides the control board?

Thanks, James

The diagnostic mode can be entered by pressing ProDry, ProScrub, then Hi-temp wash and repeating it 3 more times. The turbidity sensor, wire harness, and main control could be the cause of failure. An easy check from the main control would be a resistance check using the yellow wires at connection P12 from the wire at pin 1 to the wire at pin 3 to check the turbidity sensor. If it measures between 46K to 52K Ohms at normal temperature, the turbidity sensor is fine. From there, the heating element wires can be tested using the blue wire with red stripe and the blue wire with white stripe at connection P4. If the resistance is between 8-30 Ohms, the wires are good and the main control is the issue. There should be a number at the end of the model that would be necessary to identify the specific parts used with your appliance.
