Main Symptom: Wash Motor not running Error Code 4-3
What happens & when: I disconnected the wash‑motor power plug, connected it to my multimeter, and ran the dishwasher on a normal cycle. My goal was to see whether the wash motor was receiving 110 volts. If it was getting full voltage but not running, I’d assume the motor was bad. If it wasn’t receiving 110 volts, then the controller might be the problem.
During the first 1 minute and 40 seconds, the machine was filling with water, and the multimeter showed about 48 volts. Exactly at the 1:40 mark, the meter briefly jumped to 110 volts, then immediately dropped back to 48 volts. This pulsed on and off about 11 times. After that, it stayed around 48 volts until roughly the 3:26 mark, when it pulsed 110 volts twice. Nothing else happened until around the 5‑minute mark, when it sounded like the dishwasher began draining. At about 5:45, while draining, it pulsed 110 volts twice again. At 7:15, it sounded like the drianing had stopped and it started refilling with water. At about 8:05 the fill cycle ended and it pulsed 110 volts two more times.
After that, I continued to watch and listen to about the 20-minute mark, and the wash‑motor supply voltage never rose above the 48 volts again. I figured this was the main wash cycle, so the wash motor should have been recieving 110 volts either non stop, or continuosly pulsing througout this period. but nothing but 45 to 48 volts. Occasionally I heard what might have been the heater turning on, and during those moments the voltage dipped slightly to around 45 volts before returning to 48 volts. That’s when I began to wonder, could the turbidity sensor be identifying that the wash motor is not running, so it is telling the controller not to send power? or does the turbidity sensor have nothing to do with it, and the controller itself is the problem? Can you please help me understand this so that I may order the right parts for repair?
