Patrickpblm1, thank you for your question. With the power supply turned off, the dispenser for a paneled door would be removed as follows:
A. Partially open the freezer door.
B. Remove the screws from the freezer door handle and remove the handle.
C. Bow the dispenser panel out at the center and remove it from the top and bottom channels holding the dispenser panel in. (see attached reference picture)
D. Take a picture of where the wires are attached to the dispenser switch pack, then remove the wires to allow the dispenser panel to be removed completely.
Hello, back in March I was helped with instructions for front panel removal, unfortunately, after reassembly, the ice maker stopped working. No water cycle to the reservoir for ice making. I do have water coming from the dispenser, but again no water into tray reservoir. I need assistance with resolving this situation. Thanks in advance.
It may be possible that some warm air got onto the ice level sensor optics and created a thin layer of ice. If you use a Qtip to clean each lens, will the ice maker go into a harvest mode and call for water? The ice maker can be placed into a harvest mode using a piece of wire with 1/4" of each end being bare. The wire would be used to jump between port T to port H on the ice maker motor when the cover is removed. The ice level sensor flapper would then need to be taped down so that the optics have clear line of sight. The ice maker should go into a harvest mode, and the wire can be removed once the rake reaches the 9 or 10 o’clock position. If it will go into a harvest mode but water does not come through, there are a few checks that can be done. Did a hum occur at the end of the harvest cycle? This can help identify if the water valve may have received voltage. Is the fill tube blocked up with ice? If it is, the ice would need to be cleared. This would usually mean the fill valve is leaking by, so replacing the valve should prevent an ice blockage from occurring again.
