I stripped the gear in my mixer and I am trying to remove the housing so I can get to the broken part. I have the stand off but can not figgure out how to remove the shaft that holds the beaters to get to the inside. I believe I have all the screws and bolts out.
Please help me get my Stand mixer apart. I have the stand removed but need to get the housing off the mixer. Screws and bolts are out but I need to remove the beater staft I believe
Remove the beauty ring from the shaft housing with a small flat blade screwdriver. Drive the pin out of the shaft just below the housing. Insert small chisels on opposing side of the seam where the gear housing attached to the main housing and alternately lightly tap them. The lower housing, with gears and drive pin, will fall off.
Usually on those KitchenAid mixers you don’t remove beater shaft first. Once trim band and housing screws are out top housing should separate and give access to transmission and stripped worm gear.Sometimes old grease basically glues the halves together,so a gentle rubber mallet tap helps break it loose.
