Kitchen aid KRFF507ESS00 continually clicking

Please make sure to click on General above and select the correct appliance type first.

Brand: Kitchenaid
Model Number: KRFF507ESS00
Main Symptom: clicking, not dispensing water/ice, pantry/deli drawer power is off
What happens & when: The refrigerator dispensed water and ice perfectly fine. Tried to do a second glass and nothing worked. Powered off the unit for 2 minutes, powered it back on and it will only click continually, it doesn’t display any codes for the ice maker (blank, not even EO) the deli/pantry drawer power is off and not sure if it stopped cooling yet or not but I believe it has also stopped cooling.

Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried:

This sounds like a low voltage DC drag on the electrical system of the unit.

Since you were able to check the icemaker codes you already know how to enter and navigate diagnostics mode, so go back in and go to test 9 for the UI buttons. Make sure the ice and water pads will read properly when pressed.

If those are good run the evap fan tests in test 3 and the ice box fan test in 36. Listen for any revving, pulsing, or growling from those fans.

If those are good, go to test 63 for the pantry UI and see if it lights up.

Let me know if all that checks out or if you have any questions about what you find.

On test 3 I did not hear the unit make any noises from a fan or anything else. Just the constant clicking from the unit. Seems to be a double click with a short pause and then repeats.

Did it do that on all 4 steps of test 3? How did the other tests go?

Yes, I did all 4 steps in test 3. No response.

Test 36 - I didn’t notice the fan turning on or off. No revving or pulsing that was noticeable.

Test 63 - the lights on the panel all lit up when it was selected and then turned off when moved to another test.

You may want to contact a technician. DC load failure causing something like this on this style isn’t uncommon, but it is very unlikely that all 3 fans would fail at the same time or that the control board would fail in such a way that none of those fans work in diagnostic mode.

I was afraid of that.
Thank you.
