My dryer turns on and has very low heat, even when the setting is on the highest heat. Any suggestions what is wrong with it?

Orik,
Have you checked your exhaust venting and lint filter for excessive lint build up ?
That could give you the impression of a low temperature, be cause it is overheating and turning the burner off.
There are several other possibilities, bad temperature switch, bad bias heater, being a gas unit you could also have a weak coil, cracked igniter, etc.
Check the exhaust vent an hood for build up first, then we can go from there.
