Kenmore Washer Time Agitation Problem

Main Symptom:Motor does not run only during agitation cycle. Spin runs okay.
**What happens & when:**I believe a new timer received is defective. The motor does not turn on during agitation cycle, but spin cycle works. Placed original timer back in washer and agitation cycle works fine. Original problem was timer stops after each cycle (agitation, rinse, spin). How can I check the new timer to be sure it is defective, voltage or continuity test and on what pins?

Unfortunately, we do not have a wiring diagram for this model but would recommend to check the motor for 120 vac when it is supposed to agitate. If there is not power then check to make sure that the pressure switch is closing when filled and if it is good then this will likely be a timer issue.
