I was washing my clothes. Upon returning, the machine was filled with water and of course the clothes
and has no power. NADA!
I have checked the plug and there is power from outlet. Called my dad out of state and pushed down the switch that clicks on when lid closes. I tried to take back off, but I don’t know how to do it. Seems there is molding on the top that won’t come off, yet has no screws.
I cannot get your model number to come up, but assuming you have a direct drive Whirlpool made machine, and that nothing happens as you advance the dial then the likely problem is the lid switch.
Here is a site that will show you how to by pass it to check it out. You may have plastic covers over the screws, which can be carefully pried off.

It isn’t a dial. So, I can’t figure it out. My dad said it comes off all as one piece over the machine.
