Main Symptom:Loud squeaks then shuts off.
What happens & when:So I have changed the drum belt, the pully, and the head bearing for the drum. All of these things kinda help but it still squeaks then shuts off. I think its a safety switch shutting it off. So at this point i believe it might be the heat sensor over producing heat then the safety switch shuts it down. Also I noticed a Crack in the heat sensor. So anyhow can you please help me, we can’t get a new stackable washer and dryer right now we can’t afford it and my wife is going o give birth any day now. Thank you.

Just wanting to make sure I’ve got it clear here, the motor shuts off? Or does the motor keep running but no heat?
What color wires are going to that heat sensor you said was cracked?
And about how long does it run before the issue occurs?
So the motor shuts off, the whole dryer shuts off when this happens. In order to get it back on i need to turn the dryer back on. Its random on when it shuts off sometimes its 5 minutes others not even a minute. So one wire going into the heat sensor is red/white the other wire is all white. I have heat the whole time well I think because it doesn’t last long before it shuts off again. Even on low heat it seems to be to hot my opinion.
That thermostat/heat sensor sticking closed tracks pretty well with this issue. I’d say the dryer is heating up, that sensor doesn’t open, and the overload built into the motor opens and cuts everything off. I’d start by replacing that thermostat.
