Everything on the washer works fine we just have a banging or knocking noise during the spin cycle. While washing machine was spinning and knocking applied pressure to the agitator and the banging noise disappeared. Removed motor and drive assembly. Clutch housing had some grease inside but the clutch appears to be ok. Transmission gears and interior appear to be working properly. Driveshaft shaft appears to be slightly loose in the bearing however I do not know if that is normal. Help, confused
Thank you,

If it sounds like this, it’s a faulty transmission.

It does not sound like that. It is a LOUD non-rhythmic knocking/banging noise. I can see the agitator slightly slow down everytime I hear the noise. Thank you
Then it’s still a transmission problem. The agitate gear in the transmission should be fully disengaged from the agitator shaft during spin. It is trying to re-engage which is whats trying to stop the agitator and making the noise. If your good at mechanical repair, it can be fixed cheaply by replacing the agitator cam otherwise just replace the transmission.
