Washing machine will wash cycle then sometimes tub will continue to attempt to fill with water but water will run out and never get past 5 inches deep. Water continues to run.
Sounds like the drain is siphoning. Make sure the drain hose is at the correct height and if going into a standpipe, that the hose to standpipe interface is not sealed (must be an air break there).
