Kenmore HE2 Plus repair

Machine coded to F28
Removed top and lower front panel. Cleaned filter, not the problem.

Replaced the CCU part # W10205848, then WPL part #8574969

Replacing the CCU stopped the error code however the machine will not fill or start, just locks the door and activates the detergent chamber motor.

Clearly neither of these parts were the problem, assuming the new one work correctly.

Should I replace the MCU, part # AP4327152? Any other ideas?

Thanks for any advice

As many owners have reported these washers are great when they work but when there is a problem, the code system is almost worthless for diagnosis. One ends up throwing expensive parts at an expensive machine.

Ouch, this is an error code that is next to useless as it could signify several things and the only way you really know is by replacing parts.

Use the tech notes to try and test the MCU and check the wiring harness to it from the control unit. If everything checks out I would try replacing the MCU but you may end of having to replace the motor. See if you can check it out also.

Also make sure you do not have a problem with the valve assembly.

Yeah I know, a lot of places to check, That why the first sentence of this response.
