None of the burners on the stove top are working unless you use a match to light them…what part would I need to order to make these burners ignite when turned on?
The first thing I would do is check for 120 VAC at the power outlet where the cooktop power cord is plugged in. If there is nothing wrong then the spark module (#318 on the diagram) has to be replaced.
- The part number for the spark module is AP2023163

Gene…what do you mean check the 120VAC first…what does that mean? also, where would I get the "spark module AP2023163? redladys@aol.com
Locate the power outlet (most likely inside the cabinet under the cooktop) where the cooktop power cord is plugged in. Unplug this power cord and plug in any kind of a small electric appliance to see if it will work.
If it will then the problem is the spark module.
If it would not then check the circuit breakers or call an electrician.
To order the spark module just click on the link with the part number.

P.S. You have to know how to handle a simple tools in order to fix it yourself.
Gene…what link do you mean when you say …To order the spark module just click on the link with the part number… I can handle tools very well…but how does this part get installed…the diagram that you sent me does not show where this part goes? redladys@aol.com
PS Thanks for all the help you are giving me Gene…I really appreciate your taking the time to lead me thru this…Sandy
Sandy,
Did you check the power outlet? This is the very important first step.
Here is the part number for the spark module AP2023163 which is linked to the order page. Just click on the part number.
In order to access this part you have to remove the knobs and the top panel. The spark module is located under the cover (#320 on the diagram).
I can not provide the step by step instructions on how to do it. You have to figure it out by yourself.
Good luck.
Gene.
