Igniter works fine and fires up good. But gas ignites and then goes out and one second later will ignite again and go out again. Could this be the pressure regulator causing this, or something else. As the gas flow seems to shutdown for a second then back on again.
Any help would be appreciated.
The igniter stays on and is very bright, during the whole deal. I’ve noticed that when the oven is turned up higher it lights and stays on. But on lower temperatures, like 200 degrees it is on and off and on and off. Maybe thats the way it works since the lower temperatures heat up quicker. I really don"t know. But even on the higher temperatures it comes on and goes off a couple of times before it finally stays lite.

Everything use to work fine untill about a month ago when I kept hearing it lite and then puff or going out, and then the same thing all over again until it finally lite’s.

The problem can be a bad gas safety valve while there is a small chance for the pressure regulator to be bad as well. I would start with the gas safety valve.

Thanks Gene,
I really appreciate your answer.
When I get it repaired, I’ll let you know what the problem was. Sounds like you may have the right answer.
