Brand: Kenmore Elite
Model Number: 110.26922503
Main Symptom: Banging and Squeaking and Moving
What happens & when: Every time a time load is done no matter the size, when the drum begins to turn there is a squeaking sound. Also, as any sort of cycle begins it starts with a BANG, almost almost like something is being slammed into by the shaft. It sounds the exact same as the toploading lid being dropped. This happens each time there is a change in motion from spin to wash to stop. The spin cycle bangs all over the place, the tub is almost hitting the sides of the walls. One of the suspension pads is almost completely worn away so obviously the wobbling is favoring a side. All pads were new, along with springs, agitator dogs, motor coupling, pump, timer, and I am swapping a new drive block in as we speak since I apparently ordered one.
There is also a small leak that just started someone in the back. Looked the valve or the hose that leads to the break. I thing being throw into the basement wall did not make the valve happy but thats next on the list.
Clutch perhaps with the slamming noise? Transmission? The shaft turns freely by itself but with the tub is installed its very difficult to turn it by hand when everything is off
I can post a video when it is back together again, but tbh I don’t think its the drive block. At least thats new, the old one looks disgusting.
