I tried to fix the Thermostet and Hi Limit Thermister. Turned it on and heard a loud pop. What do I need to do now? Before I tried to fix the Auto Moisture Sensing was working and I wanted the Time dry option to work but now it does not even get Power.
I cannot find any info on the given model number.
Please check it.
First check the power to the unit.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
Check the voltage at the plug
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.
Do this with the heater off and on.
Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!!
If OK, unplug the unit and look for signs of what if anything blew up.
If you cannot find anything then with the unit unplugged check the door switch etc. for continuity.
Do you have the wiring diagram?
It would make finding the problem with a meter much easier.
It may be stored in the control console.
