i have washing machine cabinet removed. The clutch spins , the timer is working to shift the transmission into neutral in spin cycle and the transmission klunks indicating neutral but the drive shaft does not spin

Did you check or replace the motor coupler? A worn or cracked motor coupler is a very common cause of a Whirlpool direct-drive washer that won’t spin or agitate. When it fails, the motor can still run, but it won’t transfer power to the transmission.
