On Friday evening, 22 August 2014, our year 2004 model 10673184302 Kenmore Coldspot freezer over refrigerator started making sheets of ice about 4 mm - 1 cm thick. The ice in the refrig is not frozen hard and it almost floats in a small pool of water on the crisper see-through top in the refrigerator. Unexpected sheet ice was also observed in the freezer at the same time of evening. The ice is solidly frozen to the bottom of the freezer. The origin of the unexpected ice and water is in work. Thermostat setting for both Units is “3”. Any anomalous ice and water presence will be recorded. All ice and water created previously was removed from freezer and refrigerator. Ice tray hose is connected to water source with typical pressure. An empty ice bin is installed to catch the ice formed by the ice machine in freezer.
Thermostat settings for the refrigerator are: 1. Cold 2.
3. Refrigerator Recommended Setting 4. 5. Colder .
The refrigerator thermostat setting is currently 3.
Thermostat settings for the freezer are: 1. Cold 2.
3. Freezer Recommended Setting 4. 5. Colder .
The freezer thermostat setting is currently 3.
Any assistance would be appreciated. I have filtered and read posts regarding same make & model similar problems. Will continue reading posts.
Thanks,
Dave
