Main Symptom: heating element not heating
What happens & when: intermittent heating. rinse aid filled, door latch engaged, works for a few washes, then 7 blinking error code.

Parts or tests already tried: new heating element, turbidity tested good, hi-lo tested good, nothing obviously wrong on control board

If you’re sure the turbidity sensor is good then you are looking at the main control board WP8564547, which has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available for purchase. The manufacturer does not list a compatible substitute or replacement part.
That 7 blink failure means it is thinking there is a heater fault. With a new heater and good turbidity sensor that means the control board since it’ll reset and run correctly for 3 cycles and go back to the same issue.
