Good day,
I’m a newbie here. We recently had a major power serge that affected both our washer and fridge. The washer will start cold and get to the rinse cycle and then quit at the spin. If I try again it won’t go past the initial fill except for some half hearted agitation back and forth. If I unplug and wait about 1/2 hr it will go to rinse again. Seems like something is heating up and then quits. I have already replaced the door lock switch but as it turns out I didn’t need to bc the old DLS is reading 1500 ohms. What is my next logical replacement?
Check for tech notes inside the lower service panel or under the top. Focus on the electronic boards, there are two, a motor control board and a main control unit.
This appears to be a Canadian model of a Frigidaire so I am not sure how it corresponds to a U. S. one so unfortunately I can only give you generic advice.
Thx Sid,
My mod is 970-C45072-30, it corresponds directly with 970-x45072 xx. Ordered new main board. Washer works fine EXCEPT…lol. The new board did not have the program knob post, so I removed the old one. There aren’t any visible alignment marks so guessed. Well I guessed wrong and now the program knob indicator “real Normal” is sitting above “soak”.
How do I align correctly without waisting a lot of time w trial & error.
Btw, the new boards do not have the reed switch connection anymore.
Thx again, Sam
I wish I had some suggestions here but I think Trial and Error is about the only way to go.
Good luck.
