Jennaire electric stove display and oven function dead

Main Symptom: screen is black, no oven function
What happens & when: function touch screen is black and doesn’t operate oven / show time or anything stove top functions with knobs fan doesn’t function

Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried:replace display panel (#29)without change. Recommended to change #16a or 22 (stated as control panels ) but wanted advice first.

Clarification: the light does not go on when the door gets opened but flashes on and off when closed

That is going to be the main control board AP6809250. This style had a known issue where the control board would fail and the lights in the oven would start flashing on and off with the door closed.

As I look at the oven models that it is suitable for I do not see the one I listed although close. Can you tell me if it is compatible with the one I mentioned below? Thank you very much.

It is, I double checked it through the manufacturer’s system before sending it.

The console swap out w new one worked … for a bit but then I got this code

Seems maybe the burnt part of the connecting ribbon wire may have been compromised?

Is there a part # to get just that ribbon cable? Didn’t see one on the parts diagram spec sheet.

Let me know if that F9E0 code doesn’t go away. That’s a miswire code, but there are a few things that can cause it, including what you’ve got going on with that display harness.

Thank you. It did go away by killing the power to reset it. That didn’t sit well with me so I lightly and carefully sanded the very small terminals to take off in Carbon. Seem to work fine afterwards. The plug wasn’t the ribbon but the multi wire. Pic

Good deal. After looking at the location on the board I determined you were talking about the multi-wire harness to the display, so if that harness gives you any more problems the part # I gave is for that particular multi-wire harness.

Ugh! F9E0 code again from using th broiler post wire harness change as recommended.

Yeah, that could be a voltage drop under load, a bad board, or a miswire at the board. The way to see if it is a voltage drop is by turning off the voltage at the breaker, then go to the terminal block where the power cord connects to the range, swap the black and red wires on the terminal block, and turn everything back on and see if the code goes away.

Black (L1 or power leg 1) and Red (L2 or power leg 2) both get 120v AC all the time when the breaker is on so all you’re doing is swapping which feeds what with those wires. If the issue goes away that means you’re experiencing a voltage drop on L2 when it is under load, you might see the display board blank out if this is the case. That kind of issue needs to be addressed by an electrician.

If swapping those 2 at the terminal block doesn’t change anything you’ve either got a bad board or the wiring to the double line break relay P15 is reversed.

I know it was discussed, but was the main control AP6809250 ever replaced?

Hi. Thank you. I will try the wire swapping on the back of the oven. Yes the control board has been swapped for a new one. The old had a visable burn mark at the junction/terminal withe the white multiwire that feeds the display board. The wire is new now also
