JennAir JDB6510AWP dishwasher won't fill

Hello. My dishwasher won’t fill. After looking around, I read that the water inlet valve is a common culprit, so I ordered one from here and just put it on. The dishwasher still won’t fill.
Water is definitely getting to the valve, and when I took the old one off, the line to the dishwasher had water in it, so it seems the valve was okay.
Thanks in advance

The first thing I would check is the float (#18 on the inner tub break down diagram). It should be in the bottom position and the water level control switch (under the float) should be closed in order to provide power to the water inlet valve.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Jenn Air dishwasher Model JDB6510AWP

Some good advice from Gene.
Let us know what you find there.

thanks. The float is down. The control switch is #19 in the diagram, correct? It appears to be closed. There’s a white lever on the switch, on the right side of the lever a shaft from the float touches it. That end of the lever is down. That would make it closed, right?

Why not to check this switch for continuity? Also check for 120V coming to the water inlet valve while the timer calls for water.

Thanks for the reply. How do I do that?
