Original issue is everything stopped working. Found the fridge after ice cream was already liquid, so had been a while. Couldn’t get it out at first, so turned off breaker and the reset did not work. 30 minutes later got the fridge out from the wall and unplugged, and that worked. Has been working for a week now.

I still had a tech come out to troubleshoot (Nashville) and he said there was a Control Board defect, and fridge failing is the first sign. I believe all that, but his estimate was $880 for parts and labor. I found the part for $150 and I feel fairly confident I could replace it myself with some hassle, so I thought that was kind of a crazy estimate.

I found this, it’s $150 plus $30 for next day delivery.

I can’t seem to find the exact owner manual, just wanted to ask if there is any advice from the board on DIY for this. Is $880 crazy, or is it worth it just to pay the money?

Actually, I ordered that part below from this website and it doesn’t look quite right. Can anybody comment on whether that is the correct part? I expected something similar to this:

Although I can’t open up the fridge easily and look as I don’t have access to it.

The tech said to replace the dispenser control board, but why would that stop the fridge and freezer from cooling? The dispenser did stop working, but so did the entire fridge. It made sense if the main control board was the problem, but not the dispenser control board. Is that a common Jenn Air problem?

Or does anybody have the tech data sheet for this fridge I could download?
