We have broken the glass top mod. no. JEC536ADS.
Can a non-electrical type person replace the top with a new one? Do you need special tools? Does the replacement top come with instructions on how to remove the old top and install new top?
I cannot find any info on the given model number, please check it.

It’s a 36 inch with touch controls. I see the number listed on your web site along with the replacement part for $628.00 odd you can’t.
I would like to know if I buy the replacement glass top am I going to be able to instal? If I have to hire someone to do it might as well buy a whole new cooktop.

Sorry but I still cannot find JEC536ADS the following is a manual for a JEC0536ADS. They are probably the same unit. It should help you decide.
