the oven control panel is very din dose it need replacing or is it something else wrong
Start with checking your voltage to the outlet. Is’ it just the clock or the controls?
The clock is brighter than the controls you can hardley see the controls or timer
Most likely the problem is a bad EOC (aka clock).
- The part number for the EOC is AP367441

Gene,
How hard is it to replace the EOC do you have to replace the membrance also. I had a repair man and he told me it would cost about
$ 600.00 for parts and labor.
Thanks Daryl
Daryl,
I would start with the EOC and you can replace the membrane switch later, if needed.
You can find the complete instructions in the Service manual.
Gene.
Gene,
Dose the EOC control the oven because I don’t think the oven heats up quite right and the broiler dose not work.
thanks
daryl
Daryl,
The EOC does control the oven temperature and performance by reading the oven sensor and operating with the heating element(s).
Gene.
Gene,
Thank you for your time, the repair man said he needed to replace the touch control. Every thing else on the front panel works the burner work and light up. I wonder if this is realy needes to be done. Or is the EOC all it needs. Thanks again,
Daryl

You can do what I recommended or you can follow your tech recommendation. If you’ll follow my advise there is a chance to save some $$$$ (if you are going to DIY).
Gene.
Gene,
Thank you for your information and I trust what you say I will let you know I make out.
Daryl
Gene,
Thanks again, for the price of the part and very little time it is fixed.
Daryl
You’re welcome. I’m glad you were able to fix it.
