Does it make any noises?
In order to remove the container and/or diagnose the problem you have to remove the trash compactor from the cabinet, turn it on a side, remove the bottom cover and check the drive parts.
If everything looks fine then manually rotate the large gear to lift up the ram and release the container.
Post the results.
