It’s a compound issue that I’m fighting.

First of all the latch switch contactors had broke and stopped working so I purchased a new latch/switch and installed. Immediately about 50% of the time the display would indicate to close the door. Confirmed by testing with a multi meter that the switch was functioning correctly. Switch fixed it.

Second issue. Shortly after while running a cycle the washer would just shut off. No codes or display, and could start it right back up….sometimes it would finish, sometimes not. So I ordered a new board after reading my symptoms and their fixes, installed and no buttons worked. I power cycled the washer and it would only let me select quick clean. So I left it alone out of frustration, then returned hours later and pressed the normal wash button and it lit up…weird. Started the cycle and it went all the way through no issues.

*Interesting note/observation: With the original board the normal wash would start at 99+ mins and finish after an hour and a half. With this new board normal wash starts at 33 mins and finishes in 33 mins.

So my question is… A- did I get the right board? If not B- Can I get some assistance figuring this out?

That is the correct board for this model.

Does it seem like the buttons light up every time but the cycle just isn’t getting started/resumed?

I’m wondering if there may be an issue with the door latch circuit on the main harness 154832401 between the control and the latch, either a pinched/damaged wire or bad connection/connectors.

The only other thing that I could see causing this is the touchpad which is part of the console assembly 154791806. That part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available for purchase. The manufacturer does not list a compatible substitute or replacement part.

The issues with the buttons didn’t start till after the board was installed. So I can’t help but think something changed. Also, the display is looks different than the old board too. Like it appears with a new look.

How can I test some of these for you?

Other than examining the harness there aren’t any tests for this. The button issue is either a bad control out of the box, the harness, or the console.
