Hi
I have the above listed dryer. It has decided not to work today. If you set it to a programme and press start and nothing – it just sits there.
I was advised that it might be an open thermostat.
After examining the dryer thermostats (after turning off the power, checking for live feed and ensuring on one could turn the supply on) by removing the front panel, I’ve got the following results:
Two thermostats on the heater box: both appear to be closed circuit (have continuity)
There are two thermostats on the dryer exhaust ducting:
One is a straight in line one and that appears to be closed.(thermal fuse???)
The other one is round and has four connectors on it. Two thicker wires (from heater?? And this part appears to be ok. The other part (inner and thinner wires) appears to be open circuit. (I think it had heater or something similar on it???)… written on it it was part number 3387137. Now my question is, is this party faulty ???
Also, if it is faulty, where can I get one? I’ve not manged to find any suppliers in the UK so far.
