The washer wouldn’t spin. My husband replaced the coupler, then the clutch assembly. Now it is working but when it was taken apart he found that the seal on the agitator cap had broken. Is that something that is necessary to replace - or will it work fine without it - or can I at least run a few washes without it until it arrives - since I have a lot of laundry piled up
It’s there to keep water from leaking into the drive shaft and the gear case. Running the machine without the seals is not recommended.
