Insulator Evaporator pads are touching back interior panel and rusting

Brand:Electrolux
Model Number:E32AR75JPS0
Main Symptom:Interior back panel rusting

Interior back panel is rusted. The insulator-evaporator pads are discolored from rust and moisture. It seems they are most likely touching the back panel and rusting the panel. I am not sure if there should be moisture on these pads and if they should be touching the back interior panel. This is the second back panel I may be replacing due to this issue. Should I replace these pads? If so are they easy to replace? I cannot find a video or reviews on your website. Also should there be that much moisture behind the panel that is causing all this moisture to collect? There is no signs of moisture inside the refrigerator on the walls, shelves and doors as will any of the contents in the refrigerator. The refrigerator seems to run well as we don’t hear the refrigerator run excessively and the compressor kick on.

I’d replace those pads using insulator 297078701. Due to the constant heating and cooling in the area you are gonna get moisture here. You can try pushing those pads back so that they aren’t directly contacting the panel. It looks like the original material used as an insulation pad may have been fibrous which would make the pad retain moisture, the new ones are just Styrofoam blocks.
