trying to install new compressor but have a few questions, about the capalary tube w/ the charging /service port, this compressor comes w/ a device that looks like a capalary tube/ line dryer ? that has a charging/svvc. port where does that part sweat on to compressor? the compressor has 3 ports one for high and one for low, the other must be a svc port im guessing, any help would be appreaciated.
You need expensive equipent and knowledge to install a compressor. Most of the novices that asked for help on this forum damaged the compressor. I have not replaced one in 10 years due to the high cost of compressors and logistic/ management costs. Best to have it installed by a pro. which is rather expensive.
I am a hvac tech. but a friend got his compressor under warranty and it came w/ no paper work on where the charging port goes,
The charging port is the processing tube, usually 5/16 size.I usually put a BP piercing valve on it. The dryer is installed on the high side, but the gauge fitting is for checking the high side pressure and a needed fitting for sucking down the high side.
Most failures are from non-compressables that damage the compressor where it will not produce “normal” vacumm pressure.

Find the existing dryer & Cap tube, remove and replace them, and evacuate and recharge system,
