Recently purchased a new ice maker for my refrigerator. The new kit notes that it no longer includes bail arm. My question is what is the degree of difficulty removing the bail arm from the old ice maker and inserting it into the new ice maker?
Hello,
This is no issue at all. Using a small screwdriver, pry the bale arm out of the control module end of the ice maker. This will seem tight, but will pry out easily with the correct leverage. The other end just pops out of the top of the ice mold fill funnel. To install in the new icemaker, it’s usually easier to insert the end in the plastic ice funnel end first, then, look at the hole it goes in. It is slotted. Insert the bale arm lined up with the slot and press it in as far as it will go. And it’s done.
