My freezer is not sealing properly on upper part of door and causing ice sickles much frost. Should I replace seal? Or?
I cannot find any info on the given model.
Before replacing the seal:
- Check that the unit is level front to back or leaning slightkly to the back.
- Check the lower door hinge. Many unit use a cam on the hoing and the door which holds the door closed. Check these.
- Check that the hinge side of the seal seals properly. Sometimes the door side can grab and twist causing problems. If this is the case a light coating of white lithium grease or vaseline should solve the problem.
